Internationally renowned airbrush artist, Mickey Harris has been painting for 30 years and has produced thousands of murals on metal. Mickey began his professional career with the airbrush at the age of 19, in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. Mickey mastered the airbrush, becoming one of the leading airbrush artists in the world. Mickey founded Airbrush Magazine in 1994 and has been the President of the International Airbrush Association on two different occasions (1992, 1999).
Mickey has won world-wide acclaim for his artistry; he has appeared in numerous publications, including appearing on the covers of King of the Road magazine, Truckin', and Airbrush magazine. Mickey has also been a guest on several talk shows and news broadcasts; he was recently featured on the Travel Channel television show "King of the Road." The episode featured the worlds most detailed 18 wheeler, with over 2,000 man-hours, and over a million strokes of the airbrush. One of Mickey’s show trucks won over 22 "Best of Show" awards. Mickey has won the prestigious "Dupont Top Gun" award four times. He has received hundreds of awards for his motorcycle art. The American Pride motorcycle (owned by Mike Kuli) Mickey painted has been celebrated for its incredible depth and detail. A tribute to September 11, 2001 – this bike has won awards all over the country. Mickey has been teaching the art of airbrushing for over twenty years; he’s taught seminars for the United States Sign Council, Airbrush Magazine, the International Airbrush Association, Airbrush Action Magazine, BASF, Iwata Airbrush, and Sign Business Magazine. Mickey has also painted many murals for the USAF and painted nose art on nine B-1 Bombers. Mickey's résumé includes a creation for Shane Sieg; he is a Nascar Craftsman Truck Series driver for S & W Motor Sport. This truck ran at the Daytona 500 and the Atlanta MotorSpeedway. |
